It’s soon to be cookie season again: Halloween cookies, Christmas cookies… You’ve seen the professionally decorated cookies in the stores, sometimes arranged into arrangements for gift giving.
You can decorate cookies in the same way. It just takes a little practice. Bake them on a stick and arrange them in a basket. All you need a basket or other decorative container, some florist foam, decorative papers, ribbons and cellophane wrap. Choose a cookie cutter shape and personalize the cookies to the personality of the recipient for a fun and personal gift.
Start with a simple sugar cookie recipe or a gingerbread cookie. Practice decorating them with royal icing. Before long you’ll be turning out professional looking baskets.
