12 tomatoes, quartered2 onions, chopped fine3 green peppers, chopped fine1 1/2 teaspoons salt1 1/2 cups light brown sugar1 1/2 cups white vinegar1 ounce whole pickling spicesCombine all ingredients and cook slowly about 4 hours, stirring occasionally. Keep heat low to prevent burning and spattering. Pour into hot sterile bottles and seal. No need to process. |
